Episcopal Church of the Nativity May Communications

May 30, 2021
Dear Fellow Parishioners,

The Vestry has approved our protocol for a return to indoors worship. The protocol was developed using the latest guidance from the Diocese.

As a result, we will have our next indoor service on Sunday May 30th at 10:00 a.m. This service will be recorded and posted to Facebook and YouTube around 11:30 a.m. We will no longer hold the 09:00 a.m. Zoom services.

The protocols are fairly straightforward at this time. Masks will be required. Hand sanitizer will be available. The church will have socially distanced seating with alternate pews being closed off. We will have the usher’s seat everyone from the front of the church to the back to enable one-way movements. After the service we will exit the church from back to front. The ushers will maintain a contact tracing log as mandated by the Diocese.

Communion will be available in one kind at each service. There will be bulletins, but no prayerbooks, or hymnals provided during the indoor services.

We are bringing singing back into our worship.

We are very happy to begin indoor regathering again and expect to see further loosening of the restrictions as the summer progresses.

We are excited about seeing the Nativity community in person and are very much looking forward to starting back on the path to normalcy.

Peace,

Bob Nightingale
Senior Warden
